Job Start / Employment Ontario

The program offers a range of services and opportunities for young people to learn about jobs and gain working experience. The goal is secure long-term employment and meaningful careers.
(Youth would be paid $11.25/hour for 60 hours of pre-employment workshops)
Youth will receive 60+ hours of paid pre-employment training (job search and life skills), a paid job placement, mentoring services, and education and work transitions support.
Please refer eligible clients to JobStart’s YJC program, as intake and assessment is currently underway. We have an anticipated start of November 2015 and will provide further details as they come. Please note that intake will be ongoing – refer clients to JobStart’s YJC staff at any time!
YJC eligibility requirements –
All participants must be:
•        15 to 29 years old at time of registration
•        A resident of Ontario
•        Eligible to work in Canada
•        Unemployed, underemployed
•        Not participating in full-time training or education
•        Motivated to find work
