Financial Literacy for Seniors

ASK! Community Information Centre will be running a series of 3 Community Education Workshops on Health and Wellness for Seniors starting in August 2012. 

The first presentation, which is scheduled for August 21, 2012 is on Financial Literacy for Low-Income Seniors- topics will include- General money management, Financial Abuse, Power of Attorney, Wills, Scams/ fraud/ Identity Theft.  Please see attached flyer- please note that registration is required.

The second presentation (September 11, 2012) is with the Canadian Hearing Society- topics include- Information on Hearing Loss- Signs/ Symptoms, Resources-aids/ devices, Assistive Devices Program/ Hardship Fund- participants will also receive a Free Basic Hearing Test.

The third presentation is with Toronto Public Health- Dental Clinic (October 9, 2012)- discussion to include- Denture Care, Mouth/ Teeth Care/ Health, Toronto Public Health Dental Clinics (programs/ services offered)- participants will also be given the opportunity to book an appointment for Free Denture Cleaning and Labelling.

The workshops will be open to Seniors, maximum number of participants will be 20 for each session, pre- registration is required.
