Ontario Creating 100,000 more licensed child care spaces

Etobicoke-Lakeshore MPP Peter Milczyn and Ontario Education Minister Mitzie Hunter visit LAMP Community Health Centre to announce 100,000 new licensed child care spaces over the next five years throughout the province, at the Jr YMCA Child Care Centre.

Pick Your Own Apples!

Now here's a fun way to keep the family busy and active over the weekend! Join The Gardens group on Saturday, October 1st from 9am-2:00pm, and be a part of the Pick Your Own Apples venture. The event is free and includes roundtrip transportation.

The Families in TRANSition Group

Education is key! Central Toronto Youth Services is leading a 10-week group for parents of trans youth (ages 13-21) who have learned of their youth's gender identity. The families in TRANSition Group begins in late October and runs until January.

*Pre-registration and in-person intake required.

The GARDENS Back to School Healthy Lunches & Snacks

With the school year well on its way, here's a great way to keep the family eating healthy. The GARDENS Back to School Healthy Lunches and Snacks workshop offers a fun hands-on approach to cooking throughout the school year that can be done throughout the school year. Invite the entire family along with you, and learn new ways to prepare tasty and nutritious lunches and snacks!

“Walk for Change” walk-a-thon fundraiser

Join LAMP Community Health Centre on a 4km walk, celebrating the rich psychiatric history of the Etobicoke-Lakeshore community. Among Friends will host the “Walk for Change” walk-a-thon fundraiser.  This event is being held in order to increase awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness.
