(Video) The two hour think tank on affordable housing at LAMP Community Health Centre (Part 1)

The two hour think tank on affordable housing at LAMP Community Health Centre kick started community mobilization to tackle the affordable housing crisis.

“There are so many people struggling right now. We have never seen the problems so severe, where people are so close to losing where they’re living ... a new wave of people who are on the verge of homelessness,” said LAMP’s health promoter, Jasmin Dooh, who has teamed up with like-minded stakeholders at Daily Bread Food Bank, Albion Neighbourhood Services, the Social Planning Council and others to form an affordable housing think-tank.

“Today’s meeting is to explore what we can do as a community to accelerate efforts to get more units of affordable housing available in Etobicoke-Lakeshore.”
