The South Etobicoke Youth Assembly is launching two FREE Teen Leadership Camps for youth aged 14-19 one in July and one in August. Participants will build leadership skills, gain volunteer hours, and meet new people who are interested in improving their community.

The camp will feature activities that enhance respect and teach skills for socializing and employment. It also features arts & activity based learning, as well as recreation sports and dance, and trips to the beach, and other self-development workshops.

There are two camps being offered, one during July 18-22, and one during August 8-12. Each day is from 12-5 PM at second street school. Lunch is provided. Participants will also learn about fundraising.
Sponsors are being sought to provide funds for lunch, bus fare, and field trips. Donations can be made at www.lampchc.org under Quick Links Canada Helps. Please select SEYA. Donations can also be made in person at LAMP which is located at 185 Fifth Street, Etobicoke. Funds are needed to pay for special arts and sports facilitators.

The South Etobicoke Youth Assembly (SEYA) was started in 2000. It provides youth with a safe place to create and express themselves, as well as contribute to their community.
