GASP

It is the mission of GASP to promote an awareness of the quality of air we breathe, and demand alternative sources of power for cleaner air and a healthier environment in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The Lakeview coal-fired electricity generating station in Mississauga is the single largest source of air pollution in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). For more information, Please go to our Events page.

Our initial goal is to convert the coal burning Generation stations at Lakeview to cleaner burning (High Efficient) natural gas.
The pollution that is caused by the coal burning power generation plants is spreading tonnes of smog, nitrogen oxides and sulpher dioxide as well as greenhouse gases in Ontario. That contributes to Breathing problems and climate change problems.
